This one-of-a-kind item was upcycled from a 3-drawer nightstand! Click through the pictures to see the "BEFORE".
I removed the top two drawers to make room to sit. Next, I took the top off and used it for the back. The seat needed to be replaced, as there was only cardboard between the drawers originally. A little trim was added to the sides to form arms.
Next it was cleaned, sanded, primed and painted with Miss Mustard Seed's MilkPaint in Ink Blue. It was given a topcoat of Miss Mustard Seed's MilkCoat water-based poly for a durable protective satin finish. A new pillow was added for the seat and VOILA!
I envisioned this as a child's reading chair or a pet's bed, but I'm sure there are other ways to use this unique seat. What do you think?
